Reverse Parking Sensors Can Save Lives

Each year, hundreds of people in the United Kingdom are either injured or killed because of parking accidents. Parking accidents do not sound serious, unless you are talking about a child.

Children have a habit of sitting behind cars or playing in driveways. Sometimes drivers do not see a small child and end up hitting them with the car. This can all be avoided if people would equip their cars with parking sensors.

You can purchase parking sensors for both the front and back bumper of your car. No one can see that they are there and it does not ruin the appearance of your car.

Even people who have classic automobiles that they have restored are using parking sensors because they realize that these devices can not only save lives, but can also save the body work on their precious cars.

You can find parking sensors at a number of places online including Parking Dynamics. You can opt for a parking sensor that is especially made for your make and model automobile or a universal parking sensor that is made for all autos.

A reverse parking sensor is really just a parking sensor that is on your back bumper. If you find yourself pulling out of a driveway or parking space, you may not think to look around the back of the car where a small child can be playing or even an animal can be lurking. You turn on your car and start backing up and hit the hapless victim.

If your car is equipped with reverse parking sensors, you do not have to worry about hitting something because an alarm that sounds like a beeping will go off when the parking sensor is in close proximity of any object.

So if you turn on your car and the alarm starts beeping, you know that there is an object behind your car. Again, this can be anything from a bicycle to a child. You can then get out and look.

Some people also put parking sensors on the front of their cars to avoid hitting anything like a curb or objects in the garage. Some people never know how far to pull into their garage and end up hitting objects like tool cases and bikes.

This can be avoided if there is a parking sensor on the front bumper. It can be set to a certain distance so that you can just listen for the beep to know that you have pulled far enough into the garage space.

Reverse parking sensors that are purchased online can easily be attached to the rear bumper of your car without any sort of drilling or mechanical knowledge. There are also kits that can come with these products to make installation easy. Just about anyone can install reverse parking sensors on their car.

There have been a number of cases in the United Kingdom recently where parking sensors have actually saved lives. In one case, a man was discovered lying in a parking lot after an attack by a woman who had a reverse parking sensor recently installed on her car.

If your car is not equipped with a reverse parking sensor, you should check out the options online for these inexpensive devices.

Customer Testimonials

I can't believe the ease by which the parking sensor was fitted and we just love the discrete 'hidden' sensor design. What a difference the PD1 makes to both mine and my wife's parking and reversing.

The audible alert keeps our attention to a maximum level and really helps with tight parking spaces.
