Ensuring Your Van is Protected with Parking Sensors

Van parking sensors exist both for personal vehicles and fleets. There are several reasons why you might consider having van parking sensors on your vehicle. Let’s take a look at a scenario.

You own a van, which has back windows, but it does not enable you to see a great deal. In fact the entire van has quite a few blind spots despite the mirrors and windows that you do have. You are driving down a busy street to make a delivery. Luckily there is parking on the street, so you pull forward into the space. After you have unloaded your goods at the location you get back in the van, strap in, and start backing up. Two parking spaces up from where you are parked a five year old is let out of his car restraints. Instead of staying put he begins to run around. Unfortunately he is heading straight for you, but you can’t see him due to the blind spots and his height. Luckily his mother yells and you stop the van.
The situation could have gone many ways because you do not have van parking sensors. Had you put van parking sensors on the vehicle your sensor would have warned of an approaching object. Once an object is within 80 centimetres of the van parking sensors the sensor begins to tell you how close the object is getting. You would have been able to stop without a yell alerting you.
Our point is that van parking sensors can detect more than just people. They can detect other cars, curbs, bushes, fences, and much more. This allows you to always back up safely without harming another person or your vehicle. The repairs, time, and money spent for fixing your van can be a large sum, where as the prevention method is simple and inexpensive. There are also front parking sensors for vans which give you all around protection.

Van Parking Sensors for Fleet Protection

Owning a fleet of vans or a personal van for your family may suit your needs. When you own a van you want to take care of it in all situations. One of the areas we usually do not think about when protecting a vehicle we own is parking. Parking safety is imperative, furthermore parking accidents can occur very easily. At Parking Dynamics they offer a solution to parking accidents for all types of vehicles including vans.

The Parking Dynamics PD1 is a universal parking sensor. As a parking sensor it will work on any type of vehicle. They also have van parking sensors. The van parking sensors are specific to the various van styles found in the UK.
There are two van parking sensors you might consider for your vehicle. The first is a front van parking sensor. The front parking sensor will help you in pulling into a parking spot and parallel parking. The front van parking sensor engages manually with you pushing a button near the dash. The second van parking sensors from Parking Dynamics is the rear van parking sensor. The rear van parking sensor runs the length of the back bumper. It will detect objects on the corners and sides. The rear van parking sensor works when the vehicle is in reverse.
Both van parking sensors will detect objects such as curbs, posts, bushes, vehicles, people and more. By obtaining both front and rear van parking sensors you will have all around protection. When owning a fleet this is very important. Your fleet drivers often have to back up, make pickups or deliveries. They may drive on small streets or be in areas where there are many blind spots. With the Parking Dynamics PD1 van parking sensors you do not have to worry about the parking situations they will find themselves in. The van parking sensors will be able to save you time, money, and resources.
