JML Parking Sensor Vs. Parking Dynamics PD1 Parking Sensor

Parking accidents are common; what’s more they occur with higher frequency in countries with slick wet roads like the UK. As the season grows colder and snow begins to stick to the roads and parking areas you want to make sure your vehicle is covered. Everyone has to have insurance in order to get a vehicle registered, but when the average cost of vehicle accidents for parking is about 500 pounds you want to have the best protection available for your vehicle. There are two types of parking sensors on the market. These parking sensors are meant to give your vehicle all around protection from any type of parking accident that may occur. The first parking sensor is the JML parking sensor. The second type is the Parking Dynamics PD1 parking sensor.

The JML parking sensor is not an ‘invisible when fitted’ design. In fact the parking aid does not hide the wire or the sensors at all. Most ultrasonic sensors will require holes to be drilled into the bumper. The JML parking sensors just adhere with tape. They could very easily drop off, get crushed, or just stop working. Ultrasonic parking sensors need maintenance because of their design. The JML parking sensor could very easily stop working, and even maintenance will not be able to correct the problem. Furthermore the JML sensors are a ‘DIY’ kit for £29.95. That may seem like a deal until you realise the parking aids are what you pay for. They are cheap and their quality will reflect that.
We want you to be protected inside your vehicle as well as have protection for your vehicle. The second type of sensor the Parking Dynamics PD1 parking sensor is an electromagnetic parking sensor. The electromagnetic parking sensor technology extends for a larger radius of protection than the ultrasonic sensor from JML. It can also read up to 10cm for closeness. In other words your bumper can come within 10cm of a parked car without faulty readings from the PD1 parking sensors.
The Parking Dynamics PD1 parking sensor also varies from the JML parking sensor in design. The electromagnetic parking sensor is an ‘invisible when fitted’ design because it attaches to the rear side of your bumpers rather than marring the factory bumper. You do not have to drill holes for the Parking Dynamics PD1 parking sensor. The electromagnetic parking sensor is also a maintenance free system. Due to the location of the parking sensors inside the bumper dirt and other build up will not occur. The Parking Dynamics PD1 parking sensors are also stationary, meaning they will never move and therefore adjustment is unneeded. 
The Parking Dynamics PD1 parking sensor does require a professional to fit the parking sensors to your bumper. You can do it yourself only if you truly understand how parking sensors work and how cars work. The point is the Parking Dynamics PD1 parking sensor will not have any unsightly wires or be faulty in any way. 
The PD1 parking sensors also extend the entire length of the bumper, rather than being 4 to 6 sensors like the JML parking sensor. The electromagnetic parking sensor allows for the corners and sides of your vehicle to be well protected from any damage from objects. The Parking Dynamics PD1 parking sensor is also a universal design. The parking aids will work on almost every vehicle manufactured. The cost of the PD1 parking sensors is more than the JML parking sensor, but you do get a quality product in the PD1 parking aids.

Electromagnetic Reverse Parking Sensor Can Stop Accidents

We all worry from time to time about getting into an accident that could have been prevented. If you have an electromagnetic reverse parking sensor you no longer have to worry about parking accidents. This device cannot only help you in case of an accident with another vehicle it can also help with other objects in the parking area. For example at a car park there can be cement barriers, high kerbs, and even people walking by that could cause you to have an accident.

The electromagnetic reverse parking sensor fits on the inside of your bumper. It does not require any modification to your bumper or maintenance. It is an easier to use system. By installing the electromagnetic reverse parking sensor it will engage every time you select the reverse gear in your vehicle. 

For example if you have a BMW that you need to protect, you just slip it in reverse and begin backing up. The parking sensor will tell you if there is any object in the way. You still want to look behind you and around you to avoid collision with other objects, but the parking sensor is a helping tool.

In most vehicles you can’t see the edges of your bumper, which leads to bumping another vehicle when backing up or pulling into a parking space. The parking sensor takes this guess work away and helps prevent parking accidents.
