Wireless parking sensors
Car parking sensors have become essential for safely reversing as well as parking your vehicle. As more and more new cars hit the road every day, the parking space available per car has become less, making parking and reversing a car in a congested parking area practically a challenge! Statistics show that a car gets most of the dents and scratches during parking.
Small obstacles are usually not visible while reversing the car and before you know, a scratch has appeared on the body of your car. Safety is another issue as many cases of negligence while parking are reported every day. The car may collide with an obstacle and get smashed, or injure a bystander, such as a child.
Car parking sensors can help avoid all these unpleasant incidences. However, many people postpone or even avoid getting a car parking sensor as it involves some wiring and mounting. Wireless parking sensors can solve this concern admirably.
Wireless parking sensors usually come with an audible alert as well as an LCD display for displaying the distance from the obstacle. Usually wireless parking sensors also show whether the obstacle in on the right or the left of the vehicle. This makes reversing the vehicle even easier and error-free.
Wireless parking sensors generally have 2 to 4 ultrasonic recessed sensors that need to be mounted on the rear of your car. The LCD display can be fitted on the dashboard with a cigarette socket charger.
Wireless parking sensors are usually waterproof sensors and are designed to offer excellent beam angles that ensure minimal blind detection area. The audible signals and visual display are adjustable.
As the vehicle approaches an obstacle, the wireless parking sensor’s buzzer emits a loud audio signal. The pitch of the signal denotes the distance between the vehicle and the obstacle. The same principle works for the visual display.
Some wireless parking sensors also offer optional wedges or spacers that allow you flexibility and movement as per the shape of your car’s bumper. These wedges are especially helpful if the bumper of the car has a slightly upward or downward angle.
In such a case, the wedges ensure that the wireless parking sensor’s signal is relayed parallel along with the surface of the road. If the bumper of your car is vertical, then you can remove the wedge in order to flush-mount the wireless parking sensors.
With the introduction of wireless parking sensors, drivers are left with no excuse to not have a car parking sensor in their vehicles. Wireless parking sensors are not only easy to install, but offer very accurate obstacle detection using wireless detectors.

Testimonials
I can't believe the ease by which the parking sensor was fitted and we just love the discrete 'hidden' sensor design. What a difference the PD1 makes to both mine and my wife's parking and reversing.
The audible alert keeps our attention to a maximum level and really helps with tight parking spaces.
