Parking Sensors - The Best Way To Avoid Backup Accidents
So how much did you suffer this year and beyond with the same parking qualms? There are sure to be an abundance of them that you might have faced sitting behind those powerful steers. Well now, you can sigh off your everlasting worry away with the latest technology driven parking sensors available in the market.
A unique parking sensor enables you to determine the presence of any obstacles near to your car, while you are in a mode of parking the vehicle. While most of the luxurious limos, nowadays, come associated with an automated sensor; for the less-expensive ones there is the detachable parking sensor available in convenience.
The features of parking sensors
These parking sensors are found in different shapes and with myriads of features varying with the models. However, for all, they are placed in the bumper of the vehicle or on its brackets. They function by sending ultrasonic radio waves at the rate of 40,000 times per second. These waves enable an alert that helps the driver to detect the presence of any possible block or hindrance behind the vehicle. This is done by a controller that is used to receive the indications from the sensor and alert the driver of the possible danger preventing the cause of an accident in the process.
There can be a number of ways in which the alert is produced to grasp the attention of the man behind the steers. One of the most-used techniques is a beep tone inside the car that gives a cue to the driver of the obstacle behind. Another way of letting the driver know can be the visual aid that comes with the sensor. The small LCD indicates the possible obstruction behind by a blink on the screen.
One of the most popular types of sensors, the reverse sensors has found real recognition in the trend of parking sensors. With its many innovative fitting options available, it is immensely useful as a backup sensor. Often we tend to miss on the low walls or a kid standing behind the car, and fall prey to an unwanted situation. This particular backup sensor is built in such a way as to alert the driver of the apparently invisible obstacle standing behind the car.
A recent survey revealed that about 91% of kids below an average of four years are the easiest victims of backup accidents. Even the Department of Transportation have recorded that every one vehicle amongst 27% of them falls in reverse accidents. This calls for an immediate installation of the powerful reverse sensor in your car, to prevent it from unwanted risks.

Testimonials
I can't believe the ease by which the parking sensor was fitted and we just love the discrete 'hidden' sensor design. What a difference the PD1 makes to both mine and my wife's parking and reversing.
The audible alert keeps our attention to a maximum level and really helps with tight parking spaces.
