Unfortunately, this car did not have Citroen C3 reverse parking sensors and tragedy ensued as the helpless and confined Mrs. Mills was struck by the car before anyone could help her. Fortunately, the pensioner only sustained a broken leg in the event, but those who watched the incident unfold before their eyes were horrified. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. 
 
It was good fortune that the driver was backing up very slowly and that he had quick reflexes and stopped as soon as he felt his car hit something. He thought he hit a cement pole, but it turns out that it was the wheelchair of Mrs. Mills. The driver of the car was ticketed. He had never heard about Citroen C3 reverse parking sensors and was not from the Nottingham area but from Scotland. 

He was very distraught bout the incident and paid for the time that Mrs. Mills was confined to hospital. He also vowed then and there to purchase and install Citroen C3 reverse parking sensors for his car. When he found out that they were inexpensive and that he could install them himself in minutes, he purchased one for himself and his wife.
