My Audi Parking Sensor Saved My Car!

I was in the shopping centre and was pulling out of a parking space when I heard the familiar beep of my Audi parking sensor. This device was a gift from my husband for my birthday. When I received it, I was a bit put out. After all, I had expected lingerie or perfume, but not a parking sensor. 

Prior to getting my Audi parking sensor, I always thought that these devices were only for luxury automobiles. I knew my sister had one that came with her new car. As I had an older car, I never conceived that I, too, could have a vehicle sensor. 
 
Parking sensors or vehicle sensors are a way that you can learn you have gotten too close to another object. The device that my husband got for me, the Parking Dynamics PD1, was easy for him to install. Actually, I could have done this myself, but he insisted as it was part of the gift. He put it on the rear bumper of my Audi without having to drill or even remove the bumper. Actually, I was quite impressed with the results as I did not even know the device was there. 
 
The day in the parking lot, when I was pulling out of my spot, another car was pulling out at the same time from directly behind me. We both looked in our mirrors, saw the coast was clear and began reversing out of our respective parking spots. Had it not been for my Audi parking sensor, which signaled by beeping loudly, I would not have known that the other car was there. She did not see me and I did not see her. 

Fortunately, I was alerted by the Parking Dynamics PD1 and stopped my car. I allowed her to exit the lot before reversing any more. The collision that would have ensued would have been the fault of both of us and probably costly. It is a good thing it was avoided.

 
Since that day, I have looked into parking sensors online and found that these devices are not only easy to install, but very affordable. I even found out how much the device my husband got for me did cost. I was not too pleased as I paid a lot more for the gift I got him for his last birthday. These devices are inexpensive and easily attained. I wonder why more people do not have them. 
 
A parking sensor can go anywhere on the car. There is no drilling involved and can protect the car from dings, scratches and running into another object or even a human being. People are often hit in parking lots and even in driveways because they either do not look or the object is in the blind spot. 

No one intends to cause an accident, which is why they are called accidents. And this is why everyone should look into getting parking sensors or vehicle sensors on their cars. You can not only stave off an accident, but by having a parking sensor, you may actually save a life.
