Child Hit By Car Barely Survives
A five year old child barely survived a freak accident in a car park recently in Henley when he walked between two parked cars. The cars were parallel parked on the street and the child let go of the hand of his dad and began walking off the street and through the two cars.
One of the cars had just pulled into gear and was getting out of the space. He was about to lurch forward when his parking sensor went off. Although the child was hit and received a concussion, he survived the incident. Had the parking sensor not been installed on the Fiat, the child most likely would have been crushed to death.
They simply attach to the back of the rear or front bumper. Because they are inexpensive and work well, many who choose to purchase these items buy more than one. It is not uncommon for someone to have a front and rear parking sensor on their car.
He found this to be a frightening possibility and did not even realize that he could get these devices. As he had three grandchildren, he decided not to put this off any longer and purchased vehicle sensors for his Fiat. After receiving his Fiat parking sensors, he installed them right away. Not two weeks later came the incident with the five year old boy.
