Child Hit By Car Barely Survives

A five year old child barely survived a freak accident in a car park recently in Henley when he walked between two parked cars. The cars were parallel parked on the street and the child let go of the hand of his dad and began walking off the street and through the two cars.

One of the cars had just pulled into gear and was getting out of the space. He was about to lurch forward when his parking sensor went off. Although the child was hit and received a concussion, he survived the incident. Had the parking sensor not been installed on the Fiat, the child most likely would have been crushed to death.

Accidents such as this are happening all of the time in the United Kingdom. Most of the victims are young children and even toddlers who happen to get behind cars where the driver cannot see them. Other people who also fall prey to such accidents are the aged pensioners who cannot move quick or are hard of hearing.

Parking sensors are made for every type of car on the market. You can go to a place online such as Parking Dynamics and pick up easy to install and inexpensive parking sensors. If you cannot find your make and model car, you can pick up a universal parking sensor which works on all cars.

When an object or person gets too close to a car that is equipped with a parking sensor, the sensor sounds an alarm. This is similar to how a car alarm works. The parking sensors that are sold online are easy to install and require no mechanical knowledge nor a trip to the garage.

They simply attach to the back of the rear or front bumper. Because they are inexpensive and work well, many who choose to purchase these items buy more than one. It is not uncommon for someone to have a front and rear parking sensor on their car.

In recent stories, several people have met tragic deaths due to freak accidents that occurred when someone was pulling out of the driveway or out of a car park. The person in Henley who purchased the parking sensors for their Fiat decided to do so after hearing about a little girl who almost got hit by a car after she ran into the driveway of her next door neighbor.

He found this to be a frightening possibility and did not even realize that he could get these devices.   As he had three grandchildren, he decided not to put this off any longer and purchased vehicle sensors for his Fiat. After receiving his Fiat parking sensors, he installed them right away. Not two weeks later came the incident with the five year old boy.

The five year old child was lucky. He cheated death that would most certainly had occurred had the owner of the Fiat not purchased parking sensors for his car. The child is alive today thanks to Fiat parking sensors. This is just yet another reason why people should take the time to install these inexpensive yet potentially life saving devices into their cars.

I can't believe the ease by which the parking sensor was fitted and we just love the discrete 'hidden' sensor design. What a difference the PD1 makes to both mine and my wife's parking and reversing.

The audible alert keeps our attention to a maximum level and really helps with tight parking spaces.
