Installing Parking Sensors

If you have a car that is not equipped with parking sensors, you can easily purchase these potentially life saving devices online and install them yourself.

You do not need to drill into the car or perform any mechanical feats of wonder. The only thing you need to do is to use the magnetic strip on the back of the device and hook it up to the bumper of your car.

You can install parking sensors on the front bumper or rear bumper. Most people prefer reverse parking sensors over front parking sensors because more accidents occur when someone is backing up than pulling forward. There are those, however, who install parking sensors on both bumpers of the car and even the sides of the car.

There are hundreds of parking accidents that cause some sort of injury each year in the United Kingdom. Most of these can be avoided if the vehicles were only equipped with parking sensors.

These easy to install and inexpensive devices are available online for all makes and models of cars. There is no reason for anyone not to have them.

You do not need to have any mechanical skills to install parking sensors. You can use parking sensor installation kits if you like that provide the small tools you need if you do not have any tools of your own. You do not have to bring your car to the garage to have these devices installed.

Once you have successfully installed parking sensors on your car, you should then test them out to make sure that they work. They should emit a sound when you are within a certain proximity to an object. This distance as well as the sound can be controlled by you.

Most parking sensors emit a loud beeping noise when approaching any object, similar to how a car alarm works. This allows the driver a chance to stop the car before he or she backs into anything or any one.

Damage to vehicles in car parks amounts to the millions in the UK each year. Trolleys get loose near market places and fall into cars or two cars back out of a parking space at the same time. Most people who are driving their cars today are somewhat distracted and make mistakes when parking or pulling out of parking places.

Damage to vehicles is the least of the problems. People and animals have been known to be injured or killed when cars back into them. Installing parking sensors is the only smart thing to do to avoid these type of parking accidents.

Do not wait until you have hit someone or something before you take action and install parking sensors onto the bumpers of your car. They are easy to install and no one will even know that they are there.

They are an alarm system that will sound when you are too close to an object or an object is too close to you. They may very well save the life of a child, adult or pet that gets too close to your car when you are parking, pulling away or not paying attention when you are driving

I can't believe the ease by which the parking sensor was fitted and we just love the discrete 'hidden' sensor design. What a difference the PD1 makes to both mine and my wife's parking and reversing.

The audible alert keeps our attention to a maximum level and really helps with tight parking spaces.
