Parking aid

Parking aids have made it easier and safer to park the vehicles while backing them up in the garage or any other tight parking place. There are various types of parking aids available. Most of them target the parking in a garage and are mounted on garage walls. Though a wide range of parking sensors are also available that can be mounted on the cars and can aid in parking anywhere.

Parking aids that can be used in a garage are essential to save your as well as your garage from damage. These parking aids include simple aids like parking mats, bumper guards, park ‘n’ place, wall guard, and little more sophisticated aids like garage laser park for single or two car garage, battery operated parking devices and may others.

Parking mats, wall guard and park ‘n’ place implements are placed at the point where you want your car to stop. The parking mat has two humps – the first one is a smaller that gives the drivers an indication that they are approaching the parking spot by offering a small bump.

The second bump is placed right at the parking spot and stops the vehicle from going any further as it is bigger in size than the first bump. Parking mats are usually non-slip.

Wall guard is a simple parking aid mounted on the wall directly behind the parking spot to avoid any collision damage. Once the car touches the wall guard, the drivers know they have reached their maximum distance.

A park ‘n’ place parking aid is simply a long pole like device placed at the parking spot. When the car touched it, its LED lighted STOP sign placed at the top lights up to indicate that you have reached the correct position.

There is a sophisticated parking aid available that can be mounted on your garage walls and which functions like a traffic signal. This parking aid has three lights – green, yellow and red.

Green signifies that you are ready to park, yellow indicated you are closing in and red indicated that you have reached the parking spot. Most of these parking aids are operable with both electricity input and batteries, in case you do not have an electric socket handy in the garage.

Some parking aids of this type also offer specialized park zone parking aids for two car garages.

Parking aid for reverse parking anywhere are the most popular aids as they are mounted on the car and help you in parking your car anywhere. These are usually sonar devices that send out signals and emit an audio, video or both signals to indicate any obstacle while reverse parking.

Customer Testimonials

I can't believe the ease by which the parking sensor was fitted and we just love the discrete 'hidden' sensor design. What a difference the PD1 makes to both mine and my wife's parking and reversing.

The audible alert keeps our attention to a maximum level and really helps with tight parking spaces.
