You will hear a beep beep sound that increases in frequency as you get closer to the object. If the forward parking sensor detects you are too close it will change the sound of the tone. This will be zone 2 of the front parking sensor. Zone 2 is a low frequency, constant beep.

The constant beep of the front parking aid means you should stop immediately and reposition the car. By repositioning the car the front parking sensor will again guide you to better get out of the parking space you are in.

For example if you are in a parallel parking space you need to know how close you are as you ease out of the space. The car sensor in the park is always engaged when the car is placed in reverse. However, the forward parking sensor needs to be engaged by a button under the steering wheel. As you ease out of the space you need to know where the bumper is next to the car in front of you. Zone 2: 0.5 to 0.25 Metres in length - The 2nd tone is a faster "be-be-be" sound

Zone 3: 0.25 to 0 Metres in length - the 3rd tone is a constant "beeeeeep" sound

The Smart Reverse Parking Dynamics PD1 System comprises of the following!

- The Speaker is small and at just 20mm in diameter mounts anywhere inside of the vehicle and can be run to any location. The Smartble tones that are emitted to alert you of the proximity of surrounding objects can be clearly heard even when mounted at the back of the vehicle close to or behind interior panels.

- The Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is the ‘brain’ of the PD1, and mounts securely using the supplied adhesive strip either inside of the boot or behind the vehicle bumper. The front ECU mounts under the bonnet or inside of the car, typically behind the glove box. Dimensions of this compact rear sensor unit are just (L57mm x H13mm x D33mm) and the front sensor dimensions are (L75mm x H23mm x D40mm)

- The Antenna is a very strong and flexible adhesive metallic tape that mounts behind the bumper. Its 1cm height and 2.7m length gives you flexibility to run over bumper curves and round bumper mouldings and ensures 100% bumper coverage of even the largest vehicle, offering a full, all round protection zone. The antenna can be cut to any length in seconds.

- The Switch included with the PD1-Front only, mounts discretely inside of the vehicle typically under the steering wheel area for easy access. Press the push-button switch to activate the PD1-Front when parking.
